Submerge in these Living Waters

There is a stream of intelligence that bonds those who have chosen words as their medicine. To have that intelligence drop down from the cosmic womb into the minds and hearts of those who scribe and possess the ability to translate, share and bring to embodied expression- what otherwise would linger in the intangible ethers, is a gift that cannot be taken lightly. In this anthology, we were asked to be translators for the energy of ‘patience’. Immediately, upon reading each submission it was clear to me that within that stream of intelligence exists a kaleidoscope of multidimensional colors- each with their own unique perception and language.

Patience asks of us to embrace and accept our sensuality, at times she is soft, subtle and so very fertile with infinite portals to walk through. Simultaneously, she pushes us out and gives birth to us, sometimes despite our own will, and demands of us to show up when it is our time. Patience governs a space where time does not exist and yet she is the keeper of our ticking time clock. The theme is a paradox in and of itself and the pieces that were chosen to reflect Her, depict that paradox harmoniously.

As we read through and marvel at the visual prowess of each woman’s expression here, it is felt in the bones that we are part of the One Sea of divine knowledge. Each wave, each droplet of universal nourishment shifting and making space in our psyches for what we know in our hearts to be Truth. Drink from this vast intelligence and pour back into your own inner world. Do it wholeheartedly and be present to Her Patience.

It has been a pleasure being an observer and a witness to the medicine of these sacred wombmen that are within this work. I behold these words, stories and experiences deep within my heart and through Art will I swim eternally in what can only be felt by ascending or perhaps and better yet, descending beyond the mind.
